Alex “Machine” Richardson joins the LEC analyst desk, Crumbz to NA

Riot is getting some new on-air talent

The LEC, League of Legends’ premier European competition, is adding a new member to its on-air talent: Alex “Machine” Richardson. The announcement was made via a video on the LoL Esports YouTube channel.

Richardson has been a prominent host in other esports for the last several years. Starting out as a Call of Duty commentator, Richardson later moved into hosting jobs for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive where he worked on tournaments like ESL, ELeague, and FaceIt. Richardson will be taking over partial hosting duties for the LEC at least for week 8, though it’s unclear how involved he’ll be moving forward.

Riot is also making another move with its on-air talent in North America. After a brief stint as a broadcaster for the Overwatch League, Alberto “Crumbz” Rengifo is joining the LCS. Rengifo played League of Legends competitively for several years before becoming a broadcaster. Since he left competitive play, he’s sat in on the LCS analyst desk several times as well as broadcast games for the LCK in Korea.
